Photo was taken near Tramore, Co.Waterford (Irl)
Taking the photo a certain angle and distance and it seems the plane has gone through the metal man standing on top of the tower facing out to sea at Tramore. The white jet trail is a sight regularly seen over the south of Ireland, as planes move in all directions particularly on transatlantic flights. But yesterday the skies were completely empty of planes as all flights were grounded because of the volcanic ash in the atmosphere after a volcano erupted in Iceland. Yesterday got nicknamed 'Ash Thursday'!

ĎIf your heart is a volcano, how shall you expect flowers to bloom?í ~Kahlil Gibran

This was a news story that took everyone completely by surprise. No one could have predicted that a volcano erupting in Iceland would close airports across Europe. Volcanic ash streaming down in a northerly breeze was to blame. Nature at all times deserves our total respect. The eruption of a volcano also has a deeper meaning too. A volcano symbolically represents anger and unresolved issues. If we donít own them or deal with them they erupt and explode at the least unexpected time. We all have unresolved issues, some of which bubble away inside us. We leave them there thinking they will go away or fade with time. They never do unless we deal with them. The volcano in Iceland can be a reminder on the power of unresolved issues. The Christian response has always been to name the hurt, the pain, the anger and then allow the healing to begin. Am I still holding anger within? Is my heart a volcano? Have I unresolved issues bubbling within? Can I talk to someone about them? We also pray for Godís healing and we pray that the flowers within each of us will get a chance to bloom.
