'Without belief, we would be left with nothing but an overwhelming doom every single day. And it will beat you. Each day we fight against the creeping negatives of the world and we struggle daily against the slow lapping of cynicism.' ~Lance Armstrong

Lance Armstrong is a sports celebrity across the world. He has over 1 million fans following him on Facebook. In his autobiography he talks about his own personal battle with cancer but also talks about other forms of cancer including that of negativity, cynicism and apathy. Our world today is full of these forms of cancer. We need to counter them with the exact opposite. We mark, acknowledge and thank God for all the blessings in our own lives. What's the point? It is absolutely essential that we do not let waves of negative news smother the many small stories of good news in every community and in every person. It's not a denial of what's going on in our world but much more about acknowledging that all forms of good inspire, give us the momentum to keep going and keep us in touch with the heartbeat of life itself.
