The visit of President Barack Obama yesterday seemed to go so quickly and yet was hugely significant and upbeat. The highlight was tracing his ancestral roots in Moneygall, Co.Offaly. As expected he got a huge warm Irish welcome and he must have been touched by the genuine outpouring of support and good wishes. His speech in Dublin last evening was also inspiring. He reminded us to be people of hope, to push to one side words like can't and shouldn't and to be positive in everything we do. His words 'Is féidir linn' also got a huge cheer. The visit of Queen Elizabeth last week and his visit yesterday have left a good, warm and positive vibe among so many. People feel uplifted and inspired. For a change the news is good and positive. May we continue to uplift and inspire each other. Is féidir linn!
