Photo was taken over the weekend at Tooreenbawn, Millstreet, Co.Cork (Irl)

This is as close as we're going to get to a White Christmas at least in Ireland. Caherbarnagh mountain in the distance was covered in snow, but temperatures are set to rise today and across the week ending any possibility of a White Christmas!

Thought on Monday - December - 19/12/2011

'Prayer is the root, the fountain, the mother of a thousand blessings.' ~Chrysostom

The following by the great spiritual writer Thomas Merton gives us plenty food for thought as we head into the last week before Christmas. In prayer we discover what we already have. You start where you are and deepen what you already have and you realise that you are already there. We already have everything but we don't know it and we don't experience it. Everything has been given to us in Christ. All we need is to experience what we already possess.
