A strong and low sun silhouettes this rider and horse but doesn’t hide the power and energy of the horse as it churns up the sea water as it gallops along. Horses and indeed riders too, love the freedom of the open beach.
‘Your arms were always open when I needed a hug. Your heart understood when I needed a friend. Your gentle eyes were stern when I needed a lesson. Your strength and love has guided me through life.’ ~Sarah Malin
Tomorrow is Mother’s Day. In Ireland it is always celebrated on the fourth Sunday of Lent or three weeks before Easter so it is never the same date each year. In other parts of the world it’s on a different date such as the U.S when it’s celebrated on the 2nd Sunday of May. There are so many beautiful things we can say about our Mum. Words fail to express our gratitude and our love. There is a bond between us and our Mum that is unique and sacred. Someone put it well when they said that God can’t be everywhere and so God created mothers. Some might say that it’s all a commercial occasion with florists and card shops creaming it. But every day is a day to celebrate our mothers and it’s great to be able to do it in a special way once a year. Tomorrow is also a day to remember Mums who are deceased as well. They also are remembered and will be prayed for tomorrow. To all our Mums the message is simple “Happy Mother’s Day, we love you xxx”
