This is the last photo from our week in Liverpool to mark it celebrating its European Capital of Culture for 2008. No better way to finish this section of photos with a photo of Paul McCartney outside the Cavern pub where he and the Beatles played many a gig. They produced a string of number one hits and became a household name across the world. Behind this statue of Paul McCartney are a whole section of bricks with the names of other celebrity singers engraved into them. Naturally in Liverpool this street is frequented by many tourists.
