One of the most famous sea battles during World War 2 was the sinking of the German ship ‘The Bismarck’. It was an awesome ship designed to withstand everything that could hit it. It weighed 51,000 tonnes and withstood lots of attacks from many ships including those of the British forces. But all that changed when a single torpedo jammed Bismarck’s rudder and steering gear. The massive ship was now helpless and limped around in circles. All the other battle ships moved in to sink an easy target. Without a rudder, a boat or ship is useless. Who is an important rudder in my life? Do I take them for granted? Does my life feel as if it’s going around in circles? Do I see God as an important rudder in my life?
