We don’t have too much information on Adrian. We do know that back in 668 he became friends with a monk called Theodore. They travelled to England and spent 21 years travelling the country. Adrian set up a monastery and it became a major seat of learning, teaching Greek, Latin, Roman Law, scripture, poetry and astronomy. Its students came from all over England and Ireland. Many miracles have been associated with Adrian since his death.
