Chad lived his life in England. Miracles have been associated with him particularly where he is buried in Lichfield. With reports of such miracles his cult spread. Many Churches were dedicated to him in the midlands in the Middle ages. Chad became patron saint of the Diocese of Birmingham.

Today is his feast day and we ask his blessings on us. Amen
