Photo was taken last evening at Garretstown, Co.Cork (Irl)
The tail end of what was originally hurricane Katia went up along the west coast of Ireland yesterday bringing with it lots of heavy rain and high winds. It cleared later in the day giving me the chance to catch this quick photo of the high sea swell and a rather brave walker with her dog!

Living the past is a dull and lonely business; looking back strains the neck muscles, causing you to bump into people not going your way. ~Edna Ferber
There is a lovely reflection called ‘The beginning of a new day’. While its author is unknown it goes as follows: This is the beginning of a new day. God has given me this day to use as I will. I can waste it or use it for good, but what I do today is important because I am exchanging a day of my life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever, leaving in its place something that I have traded for it. I want it to be gain and not loss, good and not evil, success and not failure, in order that I shall not regret the price I have paid for it.
