Even when the fog and mist are down there is still an opportunity for a picture. The light may have been poor but there was still enough to capture a picture! It’s a close up of the furze in flower, with threads from a spider’s web all adding to the beauty of the moment.

Enterprising doesn’t just relate to the ability to make money. Being enterprising also means feeling good enough about yourself, having enough self-worth to want to seek advantages and opportunities that will make a difference to your future.’ ~Jim Rohn
The news series of ‘The Apprentice’ in Ireland has been a slow starter with so many mistakes been made and few signs of any enterprising ideas. The prize money of E200,000 may be impressive but it hasn’t quite motivated any of the contestants just yet! Money may make the world go round but there are many things in life that no amount of money can touch or buy. The things that go on quietly within each of us are so important, like feeling good about ourselves, having a sense of purpose, hope and positive attitude. We live in challenging times today. The pressures and stresses are many. There are a good few people who seem to have a low sense of self-worth and don’t feel confident enough in their own unique abilities. This is a great pity. Throughout the Gospel stories we find Jesus wanting to instil self-confidence and inner belief with a wide circle of people. Many of the stories recall how people were transformed and were then bubbling over with a sense of freedom and new beginnings. Such a feel good factor wasn’t false or temporary. It was life changing. Do I trust and believe in my own abilities? Can I take one positive step forward today? Can I help someone I know feel better about themselves?
