Photo was taken near Muckross House, Killarney, Co.Kerry (Irl)
It was a cloudy evening when this photograph was taken. But just for a brief moment the clouds parted to allow some lovely sunshine cast lovely reflections onto Muckross lake.

‘What we call the beginning is often the end. And to make an end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from.’ ~George Eliot
Which appeals more to us, an ending or a beginning? These are key questions and the answer depends on how we choose to see it. Life as we know is a cycle of beginnings and endings. Some are profound and huge like marriage, a new job or moving home. Many are quick and transient like a holiday, reading a book and so on. As we head towards the end of October we are very much aware how autumn is upon us. Nature is gently moving into the cycle of slowing down and letting go.
Throughout each day there will be moments that are just beginning and others that are simply closing. It can sometimes be good and healthy to close the door on some things in our lives, such as mistakes, regrets, guilt and so on. It is even healthier to welcome today as a new beginning. It’s not about making it perfect or having everything just right. It’s about doing my best, being open to the blessings that will come my way and maximising the little moments that can make every day special. Today I can also ask God to help me with whatever beginning or ending I choose to make.
