Sisters and brothers, your lives are already full of God. You do not need to go anywhere special to find God. God is at your fingertips when you do the work you are called to do – in the office or at home, when you feed and dress your children, forgive them and read them to sleep. Wherever you go, whatever you do, whether you know it or not, God is always already there.’ ~Daniel O’Leary
We live in a complex world. It is not easy at times and can often be so challenging. All our stories are different but the one thing we all have in common is our need for support, love, companionship, friendship, hope and light to guide us on our daily journey
The Christmas story reminds us that all of these are at our finger tips. The Christmas story reminds us that we don’t have to anywhere special to find God. Wherever we go, whatever we do, God is with us and so near to us.
The invitation this Christmas is to experience God’s love and light. The good news is that there is so much of this around. It can sometimes be hidden or get hidden. What a pity. Be open to God’s light and love in your life and be that light and love to someone else. This is the heart of the message of Christmas and one we will always hold close to our hearts. Happy Christmas!!
