Cordoba was the capital of North Africa. It had a mixture of Christian and Islam. There seemed to be little difference between the two monothiesic. Gradually a more principled reistance began to take shape as people saw their most cherished values and beliefs being threatened.

As time went on their was a growing resistance to Christianity. People were martyred because of their beliefs. Today they are remembered as the Martyrs of Cordoba.
