Recent floods has caused lots of disruption in the western Pyren√©es. The rainfall has been so heavy it has swept some of the mountain roads away. One of the areas impacted by a significant road collapse is the Col d’Aubisque.

It is set to feature on stage 19 of the Tour de France – over 200km from Lourdes to Laruns. But as you can see in our photo some of the route is completely impassable and there may not be enough time to do the necessary repairs. Some of these roads have steep ravines underneath and time will be needed for repairs. The question is will they have enough time?
