A lot of rain recently has meant that our streams are energised and in full flow. Right across Ireland it is the same story, farmers are struggling as the land is saturated and the cattle cannot get out. It is also a similar story with our neighbours in the UK and in western Europe. The winter fodder stores are running very low on some farms creating a lot of stress for our farming community.

Significance Of Today
Today is World Aquatic Day. Did you know the ocean contains about a million different species? Because we do not actually live underwater, it is easy to forget the vast array and variety of aquatic creatures that populate the oceans, seas, lakes, and other bodies of water on our planet. World Aquatic Day is centered around taking the time to learn about and acknowledge the importance of all of these creatures who make their homes in the water.
Interesting Quote for Today
“Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.” ~Warren Buffett
Did you know that the Ocean’s capacity to store heat is much greater than that of land or the atmosphere? It has already absorbed about 90% of the excess heat due to human activities
Thought for Easter Week
Let the resurrection joy lift us from loneliness and weakness and despair to strength and beauty and happiness.” ~Floyd Tomkins
The story of Good Friday is very much our story. It picks up on our sadness, our pain, our challenges, our difficulties and the crosses we all have to carry in life from time to time. But some people choose to stay in Good Friday. They forget to take the step out of the tomb into the light or just don’t have the confidence to do so. A small nervous step forward towards new beginnings is infinitely better than none at all.
As Christians and believers we believe that our story does not end on Good Friday. There has to be something more. Easter is all about hope, new beginnings, new life and taking small steps forward in hope. It is about believing in ourselves, believing in love and kindness and being open to God’s blessings in our lives. I would like to wish you a Happy Easter and every blessing on you and your family.
