Photo was taken in the centre square, Liverpool (Eng)
Liverpool celebrates the European Capital of Culture this year. Lots of renovations and building projects have been undertaken. This water feature was one of those additions to the centre of the city. It has literally become a tourist attraction overnight. The challenge is to run through the jets of water without getting wet. It sounds easy and may look easy but it’s actually very difficult to get through completely dry!!
‘Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles.’ ~Isaiah 40:3 </>
The stormy conditions across Ireland and western Europe over the past few days had been well forecasted. But for an eagle they know when a storm is approaching long before it breaks. The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it. The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. The same can be said of our own personal storms. God enables us to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure and disappointment into our lives. The invitation is to allow God’s power to lift us above them.
