I took this photo during the week at Kinsale, Co.Cork. The town was looking beautiful with all the green lights along the pier to mark the festivities for Saint Patrick. Kinsale is a town that attracts tourists nearly all year round and especially during a Bank Holiday weekend.

Spiritual Thought For The Week
Thought For Today Saint Patrick’s Day:
Last Monday, Saint Patrick’s Day was indeed a special day. Saint Patrick is loved all over the world. His message is one of great hope. He lived through so many challenges, darkness and experienced his own personal tragedy. Yet St Patrick dug deep including his own faith and resilience, to find new beginnings and a sense of purpose in his life.
His message of faith, hope, light and courage resonated with so many people in the 5th century. His message has even more relevance on our journey through 2025. Let the story of St Patrick give you a sense of hope too. May you also have the courage to dig deep when life becomes challenging and difficult. May your faith help you find new beginnings and give you meaning and purpose in life. May you always be yourself. May you know you are never on your own.
His beautiful prayer reminds us how everything is connected. Nothing is in isolation. Jesus is present at the heartbeat of life, to give our lives meaning, purpose and new beginnings.
Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me. Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me. Christ on my right, Christ on my left. Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down. Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me. Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me. Christ in the eye that sees me. Christ in the ear that hears me.
We pray for God’s strength to help us, God’s wisdom to guide us. God’s eye to be our vision, God’s ear for our hearing. God’s word for our speech, God’s hand to protect us. God’s pathway before us, God’s shield for our shelter. Amen
